Gilbert & George’s 21ST CENTURY PICTURES, now open at the Hayward Gallery, London until 11 January 2026.
This landmark exhibition showcases Gilbert & George’s artistic journey, highlighting new pictures created since the start of the millennium, exploring how technology has amplified their reflections on contemporary life.
Alongside two brand-new works from ‘THE SCREW PICTURES’ (2025), the exhibition features pictures from key-series made since 2000 including works from the ‘NEW HORNY PICTURES’ (2001), ‘SONOFAGOD PICTURES’ (2005), ‘JACK FREAK PICTURES’ (2008), ‘SCAPEGOATING PICTURES’ (2013), ‘NEW NORMAL’ (2020) and ‘CORPSING PICTURES’ (2022).
