Frieze Breakfast Viewing

On the occasion of Frieze London 2025, The Gilbert & George Centre invites you to a breakfast viewing and exhibition tour of ‘DEATH HOPE LIFE FEAR…’

The exhibition brings together the epic quadripartite picture DEATH HOPE LIFE FEAR (1984), which the exhibition takes its title from, and presents it alongside a selection of pictures from Gilbert & George’s ‘NEW DEMOCRATIC PICTURES’ (1991) and ‘RUDIMENTARY PICTURES’ (1998).

Sunday 12 October 2025
Coffee and pastries: 11AM – midday

An exhibition tour will take place at 12:30PM and will include an overview of the Centre and its vision, and in-depth insights on the works on view – presenting viewers with a rare opportunity to view a unique selection of 18 works created by Gilbert & George during the 1980’s and 90’s.

Booking is essential for tours. To RSVP please email [email protected].

Free Highlight Tours

During Frieze week, the Centre will be hosting free highlight tours of our current exhibition ‘DEATH HOPE LIFE FEAR…’ from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th October.

Dates and times:
Thursday and Friday at 11am
Saturday and Sunday at 3pm

Tours will include an overview of the exhibition and the art of Gilbert & George. They will have a conversational tone, encouraging participants to engage, ask questions, and share their own reflections.

All welcome! No booking required.

In keeping with our vision of ART FOR ALL, tours remain free of charge, however donations can be made at the Centre (or online via our website). Every donation will wholly benefit the Centre and will make a vital difference in our continued success by helping to ensure the Centre remains a permanent art gallery providing an exhibition programme open for all.
