Free Highlight Tours – now also on Saturdays…

March 7

A special thanks to everyone who has joined us on our – free to the public – Friday Highlight Tours.

By popular demand, we are thrilled to announce that, throughout March, we will be holding an additional Highlight Tour every Saturday until our current exhibition, ‘LONDON PICTURES’, closes on 29 March.

Tours will begin at 11:15 AM every Friday and Saturday, operating on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis for all visitors who wish to join. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes and is led by a member of our friendly team.

The tours provide an insight into the Centre and its vision – established by Gilbert & George with the objective to advance the education of the public in the arts, and generally to advance the arts, architecture, heritage, and culture for the benefit of the public.

Tours will include an overview of the Centre’s current exhibition and the art of Gilbert & George. They will have a conversational tone, encouraging participants to engage, ask questions, and share their own reflections…

In keeping with our vision of ART FOR ALL, these tours remain free of charge, however donations can be made at the Centre (or online here). Every donation will wholly benefit the Centre and will make a vital difference in our continued success by helping to ensure the Centre remains a permanent art gallery providing an exhibition programme open for all.

If you are a group leader interested in exploring the exhibition in more depth, we regularly offer tours upon request. For educational groups, these tours remain free of charge. However, for other large groups, we kindly request that you consider supporting us with a donation.

The first Saturday tour will take place tomorrow (8 March).

Here’s some feedback from previous tour participants:

‘A huge thank you to you and your team for welcoming us to the Centre and for the very insightful tour of the exhibition – we all thoroughly enjoyed it. An enormous thanks also for your amazing generosity in giving everyone a gift of the two catalogues – the students were blown away by your gesture and said it really was ‘Art for All’!’

‘The group had a lovely time getting to know the Centre and Gilbert & George’s work.’

‘Thank you again for such a wonderful visit and a truly wonderful and insightful gallery tour.’

‘Splendid to visit the Centre yesterday – much inspiration and fascination from the insights given. A great ambassador for the Gilbert & George cause.’

‘Thank you for being so generous with your time and for sharing your knowledge.’
